The Guardia di Finanza of the Porto Torres Company, with the support of officials from the Customs and Monopolies Agency of Sassari, arrested a thirty-nine-year-old Spanish citizen, found in possession of 368 grams of methamphetamine.

The finance police stopped the woman after she disembarked from a ship coming from Barcelona , during an inspection, conducted with a drug-sniffing dog, on the shuttle leaving for the bus station.

During the search, the 39-year-old was asked to open a package sealed with duct tape and, inside, whitish crystals were found, which subsequent analysis revealed to be “Shaboo,” or very pure methamphetamine up to 10 times more potent than cocaine.

The narcotic substance was then seized and the Spanish citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto and placed at the disposal of the Sassari judicial authorities, who ordered her transfer to Bancali prison, charged with possession and international transportation of narcotics.

This is the largest seizure ever made in Northern Sardinia of this type of drug , usually imported from South-East Asia and which generates even more devastating effects on consumers.
