A violent head-on collision between two cars in Solanas resulted in the injured being treated by a tourist.

The drivers involved in this afternoon's accident on the Nuova Orientale Sarda highway near Solanas are from Dolianova and Sinnai. They are a 46-year-old woman and a man the same age, both from Dolianova, as well as the driver from Sinnai.
The first two were traveling together in a Lancia Y: three cars were involved in the accident. According to initial investigations by the Sinnai Carabinieri and the Quartu Mobile Radio Unit, there was a lane invasion resulting in a head-on collision. The first to assist the injured was a passing tourist.
The alarm was raised immediately, and the woman from Dolianova was taken to Brotzu Hospital with a red code for the incident. The other two injured were transferred to other hospitals in two ambulances. Their conditions are not worrying. The fire department also responded to the scene to remove the vehicles. Last July, another accident occurred on this stretch of road, resulting in two fatalities.
