This is a historic day for road safety and security in Sardinia. This morning, the decision-making conference convened by the Regional Department of Public Works gave final approval to the project to improve the safety of State Road 130. This landmark achievement, eagerly awaited for over thirty years by local communities and territories, comes at the end of a complex and shared journey.

A unanimous vote. The turning point came from the vote count: all 38 stakeholders invited to the discussion expressed a favorable opinion ("yes"). Therefore, no objections were raised for a project deemed no longer postponable. The result rewards the teamwork and strong determination of the three municipalities directly affected by the route—Decimomannu, Assemini, and Elmas—who over the decades have never stopped fighting and working hard to achieve a modern and safe infrastructure.

The Commissioner's push. Today's approval is the result of close collaboration between the Commissioner, led by the Regional Councilor for Public Works, Antonio Piu, and all the entities involved in the process. This working method, based on constant dialogue and institutional cooperation, has accelerated the bureaucratic process, overcoming the final hurdles and securing the project's coverage and construction readiness.
