One seriously injured patient was hospitalized at Brotzu Hospital: he lost a leg. Two others were taken to the Monserrato Polyclinic for leg injuries, and the other—a woman—to San Gavino Hospital.
Tragedy nearly occurred last night on State Road 197, near Las Plassas, due to an accident involving three motorcyclists. The circumstances are still unclear, but it's certain that no other vehicles were involved.
A fifty-year-old man from Villasor suffered the worst consequences: his leg was severed in the impact, and perhaps only thanks to the intervention of a doctor who was on the scene was he transported to the hospital. Before emergency responders arrived, the doctor used a belt to stem the flow of blood from the stump of the fifty-year-old's leg, while others tamped the wound with makeshift items like T-shirts and towels.
