A mistral wind is blowing in Sardinia, prompting a regional Civil Protection alert.

Between this evening and the early hours of tomorrow, according to a statement issued by the agency's offices on Via Biasi in Cagliari, "the axis of a low-pressure system of polar origin will pass over the central-western Mediterranean, favoring the deepening of a low-pressure system on the Ligurian Sea with a progressively increasing pressure gradient."

From the early hours until late tomorrow evening, strong winds from the west/northwest are expected "across Sardinia, with reinforcements up to gale force on the Gallura coast and on the eastern reliefs".
