Contracts "stopped for too many years", workloads "unsustainable", staff training "poor or absent". This is how the unions describe Sardinian private healthcare. The one that under the umbrella of Aiop and Aris is paired with nursing homes and RSA. Which then: nothing different compared to the national picture. From north to south. And in fact on May 22nd everyone together crosses their arms. The strike is unitary, called by the confederates of Fp Cgil, Fp Cisl and Uil Fpl.

On the Island, there are one thousand five hundred paychecks that revolve around the Aiop and Aris contracts, the reason for the mobilization. The first acronym stands for the Italian Private Hospital Association and includes mostly the clinics that have agreements with the National Health Service; the other acronym indicates the Religious Association of Social and Health Institutes and refers mainly to the RSAs. "We are talking about contracts that have been waiting for renewal for six and thirteen years respectively," is written on the posters that accompany Thursday's mobilization.

In Cagliari the call for workers is set for 9, in the Mercede Mundula square, in Castello.
