A long string of insults, sexual slurs, and scathing innuendos against the mayor of Carbonia, Pietro Morittu, and several city councilors and aldermen. But also against the Church, with mentions of long-deceased priests, and against business owners and ordinary citizens. All of this is contained in a pseudo-song that has been circulating for several hours in the chat rooms of thousands of Carbonia residents and is now spreading beyond the municipal boundaries.

The social media buzz, sometimes unintentionally sparked by those expressing solidarity with the victims, ultimately served the author's interests, making the song go viral. The mayor and councilors have already announced they're taking legal action , and other people mentioned in the song are also taking legal action.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Mayor Morittu expressed strong indignation: "Criticism is part of public life," he said, "personal denigration, on the other hand, hurts people and impoverishes the city."
