The summer shuttle bus between Muravera, Villaputzu and San Vito from 2025 will remain in operation all year round and will be financed by the Region with 150,000 euros. The turning point, after years of battles, came in recent weeks thanks to an amendment by the mayor (and regional councilor) of Villaputzu Sandro Porcu.

"With the latest budget change of the Regional Council," explained Porcu, "I presented an amendment to extend the shuttle bus service and it was funded. The money will go to the Union of Municipalities of Sarrabus, we will soon establish how to organize ourselves. The intention is to start as soon as possible, already in the very first months of the new year ."

The winter route will be different from the summer one, that is, the shuttle will connect the three towns without reaching Porto Corallo (it will stop in the Santa Maria neighborhood). Several stops are planned in San Vito (in the summer there is only one) . The shuttle bus, thanks to regional funding, was established for the first time eleven years ago, but only from June to September. Citizens have always asked for it to be extended to the other months of the year. Now, finally, the green light from the Region.
