They met again after nearly half a century , at school in Porto Torres, right where they met in 1978, in the first grade class of Borgona's Section H school, and where they separated in 1983. Yesterday morning , a reunion filled with emotion and memories. Thirty-three students returned to that classroom during children's lessons after organizing the reunion on a WhatsApp group . The call immediately attracted a large following, including those students who had left the island and come to Porto Torres from all over Italy.

Born into a defunct industry, their parents had lent their hands to SIR as carpenters, welders, and technicians . This wasn't just a reunion, but a return to school with a workshop project, "A Journey Through Time - School in the 1980s," presented by Eleonora Chighini in collaboration with the teachers of Class IV C, who shared a fun moment with the Borgona students and the school principal, Anna Rita Pintadu.

The children interviewed former students, questioning them about various aspects of life back then, including classroom behavior, the single teacher, the student uniform, but also teaching tools, textbooks, old notebooks, outdated toys from that period, Commodore 64s, and the children's courier.

A return to the past, where a love for their homeland emerged, a desire to reconnect and share their stories, a story of a deep friendship made up of small things, but which time has kept strong through a bond forged on the streets, after school, when socializing was different. The former students asked the children to imitate them in this experience that allowed them to reconnect after such a long time.
