«Finally reach the noble goal of a virtuous renewed "social pact for Brotzu"». This is the request of Uil-Fpl on Sardinian healthcare and in particular on the main hospital on the island, after the critical issues encountered not only in recent days. «Reading daily about Sardinian healthcare, including Arnas, seems like a sad obituary: it is clear that what we have been dragging around for ten years is exploding» , the complaint signed by the expert territorial secretary Area Vasta, Attilio Carta, in a letter sent to the Prefect of Cagliari, to the Sardinia Region (president, councilor Bartolazzi, VI Health Commission and council groups) and to all the workers of Arnas Brotzu. «A profound U-turn is needed by all those in charge. It is time to demand that everyone assumes their own responsibilities. Let's move from proclamations to concrete facts in mutual respect, with a lot of humble sharing ».

Uil-Fpl reports an increasing top-down management of Brotzu in recent years, «strongly and publicly "distrusted", which has never happened before». The letter deals with the serious problem of the Oncology operating rooms, renewing the proposal to opt for removable or two-wheeled rooms as it would exclude the transfer of patients and/or departments to the San Michele Hospital . «Let's avoid until the last moment imposing the transfer, not being postal packages, of such fragile patients to departments with a high occupancy rate of over 120%, risking piling them together like they were sardine cans».

Among other requests on Brotzu, that of avoiding the "progressive flight of excellent professionals towards any other public and/or private reality" and that the Region address the salary situation as a priority and an extraordinary hiring plan.
