A pensioner from Loiri was implicated in the Tempio Prosecutor's Office's investigation into a cannabis plantation in the Santa Giusta countryside , which culminated in the arrest of four people. Indeed, the elderly woman was the main protagonist of the operation, at least in the initial phase.

The pensioner suddenly found herself in a major mess, accused of having facilitated the cultivation of 2,500 cannabis plants by making her land available .

But she didn't even remember the plots of land near the country church of Santa Giusta, because she had signed an agricultural lease . The woman is in no condition to recognize a cannabis plant. The woman, assisted by criminal lawyer Antonello Desini, decided to be questioned by the prosecutors and stated clearly: I have nothing to do with this story. The magistrates believed her; she is not among those subject to precautionary measures .

Meanwhile, today, Tommaso Quaglioni of Loiri, Mario Cossellu and Giuseppe Mulas of Orgosolo, and Daniele Delogu of Onanì denied the charges. The four were interviewed by preliminary investigations judge Federica Distefano, and they exercised their right to remain silent but made statements. They deny the charge of organizing and managing the cultivation of 2,500 Cannabis Indica plants . For the defense, lawyers Margherita Baragliu, Rinaldo Lai, and Luigi Conti, they argue that the precautionary measure was taken too recently (the seizure of the Santa Giusta plantation occurred a year ago) and that the investigation (including checks and phone and computer taps) yielded no evidence against those arrested.
