The alleged perpetrator of a theft from a pizzeria in Cala Liberotto, Orosei, was arrested recently by the Carabinieri. He is a 36-year-old man from Sassari, a former employee of the business.

The man was caught by Carabinieri officers from the Orosei station driving a Fiat 600 stolen in Sassari on May 5th. To conceal its illicit origin, license plates stolen in Sassari a few days earlier had been affixed to the car.

During the house search, the turning point came. The officers gathered serious evidence against him for the theft of the pizzeria, from which, leaving traces of blood during the break-in, he had stolen groceries and €200 in cash. This caused significant financial damage to the owner, his former employer .

The man was arrested and, after the usual formalities, taken to Badu 'e Carros prison. The investigating judge, at the validation hearing, confirmed his pre-trial detention .
