The facility opened just a few days ago, but problems have already begun. A difficult experience for Giada Marongiu , a resident of Milis, who today , along with her child, reached the Tramatza Community Center , where, since May 30th, the emergency medical service, which had always been in Milis, has also been transferred.

"I immediately found myself without any directions, so I contacted someone in Tramatza to see if I was in the right place, but once I arrived at my destination, there wasn't even a doctor on duty," the woman said. "So we called 116117 for information, and they diverted us to Narbolia."

"Once we arrived," she says, " the doctor told us he needed to make a house call and to wait half an hour for the shift change . Meanwhile, a doctor greeted us and asked us why we hadn't gone to the emergency room. He also asked us why we hadn't gone to Tramatza or the pediatrician. He also informed us that the on-call doctor in Narbolia covers several areas, but not Milis, and that we would therefore have to pay for the visit."

"Leaving aside the doctor's questionable behavior," she continues, "we found ourselves in a truly surreal situation. I feel mocked, considering that the local health authority had guaranteed us emergency medical service. I hope this testimony of mine will inspire reflection in some way."

The woman then denounces the health emergency that the citizens of Milis have been experiencing for some time : "We are a town of about 1,400 residents and we have seen ourselves "stripped" of various essential services in a short time: health officer, family doctors who have rightly retired and are being replaced through Ascot, there are several children without a pediatrician and now we find ourselves deprived of the medical assistance that was guaranteed to us in the Community House."
