The silence of grief was broken by a touching post. Thus, the Santu Antinu association, organizers of the Aria, decided to remember Marco Muredda, the thirty-seven-year-old from Sedilo who died from serious injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Su Berrinau, not far from Nuoro. Muredda was the association's vice president.

"Today, words seem insufficient. The pain is too great, the dismay is profound, and we still struggle to believe that all this happened," reads the official statement from the Ardia organizing committee.

For our association, you were much more than a vice president. You were a fundamental presence, a point of reference, a knowledgeable, intelligent, generous person, capable of giving so much without holding back. You served the association with genuine passion and with that sincere devotion to Saint Constantine that we all recognized in you.

Your commitment, your example, and the way you were there will forever be a part of our history. You leave a vivid and indelible memory in each of us, one that time will never erase. Every member of today, and every member to come, will carry something of you with them, because those who give from the heart never truly leave.

Then the board wrote , "Thank you, Marco. Thank you for everything you've done, for what you've been, for the friendship, dedication, and love you've given to our community. Have a safe journey. May Saint Constantine accompany you and protect you wherever you are, and may he watch over your family, our association, and all of us in this moment of immense pain."
