Traffic is at a standstill in Cagliari. An accident on the 554 and a four-car collision on the main road have brought traffic to a standstill at the entrance to the city, stranding thousands of cars. The first collision occurred near the Emanuela Loi Bridge. The collision occurred on the main road, heading towards Sestu, after the access ramp from Viale Marconi. No injuries have been reported so far. The Cagliari municipal police are on site to conduct investigations and manage traffic.
Traffic is also paralyzed on Viale Marconi and in Genneruxi, as well as in Selargius and Monserrato (via Riu Mortu and via Cesare Cabras). Queues and slowdowns are also present in Cagliari on Via Vesalio (a road recently narrowed after the construction of cycle paths).
