A mountain of money, two million euros to be precise. That's the amount won on the "Maxi Billionaire" scratch-off ticket at Marco Perra's tobacco shop on Via Cagliari, in the heart of Maracalagonis's historic center . There had been plenty of winnings at that store, but never more than ten thousand euros.

The lucky new millionaire won with a ticket purchased on March 25th, which cost 20 euros .

A few days ago, the phone call came announcing the win, which was announced today by the tobacconist's owner, who was very excited and proud to have brought such good luck to one of his customers.

The hunt for the winner is on. A man, a woman, a worker, an unemployed person? "A lot of people pass through here, I couldn't say. I can only wish the winner well and happiness. With two million, you can do a lot," Marco Perra simply says, noting that his business is frequented by many people from outside Maracalagonis.

Parish priest Don Niccolò Prasciolu also sent his best wishes to the lucky recipient: "I hope he uses that money wisely and prudently. I also hope he remembers those in need; a small gesture of solidarity is enough."
