The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Cagliari have arrested a 31-year-old, with no criminal record and resident in the capital, for the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing in narcotics. The arrest took place in via della Fauna.

The investigators had received news of a possible illegal activity by the man and so they waited for him and stopped him while he was driving his Mercedes B-Class.

Then searches were carried out in the vehicle and the house, which led to the discovery of a large quantity of drugs. The 31-year-old was in fact found in possession of over 1 kilo of marijuana, almost half a kilo of hashish divided into five blocks and over 11 thousand euros in cash, presumably the result of drug dealing. A precision scale and material for packaging drugs were also found.

The drugs and money were seized, while the man was taken before the judicial authorities for the summary trial, at the end of which the arrest was validated, with the man now being required to sign in.
