A house fire in Poggio dei Pini has erupted, with the only resident escaping.

A fire broke out last night in a house in Poggio dei Pini , a hamlet of Capoterra.
Around 3:30 a.m., the Cagliari Fire Brigade operations room received a call for help and dispatched a team from the city detachment to the scene.
In the meantime , the only inhabitant of the house had managed to save himself, going out on his own : he was examined on site by the 118 emergency services, and did not suffer serious consequences.
Firefighters immediately extinguished the blaze, preventing the flames from spreading from the kitchen to the rest of the home. After securing the home, an investigation was launched to determine the cause: it is believed the fire started due to a faulty appliance .
