Firefighters worked overnight in Carbonia , on Via Asproni , to put out a fire that broke out in a garage used for tool storage. The flames then reached the wooden roof beams of the adjacent apartment .

The Carbonia fire department responded to the scene, supported by a water tanker and personnel from the Iglesias fire department. The fire affected equipment stored inside the garage. The structure was also damaged, and was declared uninhabitable. No one was reported injured.

The operation continued for several hours, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
