They must pack their bags and find a new home by January 21st, according to the eviction notice served by the bailiff, the fourth since last June. In Arborea, there is still a family, consisting of a father, a mother, and three children, one of whom is severely disabled, who live in fear of not knowing where to go if a home isn't found.
Now, however, the situation is getting complicated. That day, in fact, no one may be home. The youngest child is awaiting lung surgery due to recent complications from his medical conditions. A family tragedy that everyone in Arborea knows about and that has been making headlines for months. However, no one has responded positively, not even the municipality.
"This is all absurd," explains the father, assisted by lawyers Fabio Costa and Marco Mascia. "First, the municipality said it didn't have the resources for us, but now it doesn't want to intervene because, thanks to a recent fundraiser launched on our behalf, approximately €17,000 was raised. It's a shame, though, that this money is needed for my son's health. Every time we're forced to travel to Rome, for example, for complications or specific visits that aren't available in Sardinia, we spend a lot of money. We need a home and resources to be able to live," he concludes. "It's absurd that an emergency plan can't be activated for us."
