A drug dealing center in the heart of Cagliari: this is what the State Police discovered , arresting a 30-year-old from the capital.

The operation, which began at dawn on Thursday morning, was the result of careful investigative work that allowed officers from the Flying Squad to arrest the 30-year-old, finding him in possession of a large quantity of narcotics ready for distribution.

During the house search, investigators found over 2.5 kg of hashish, packaged in 25 blocks and numerous ready-made doses, 2.3 kg of marijuana , almost 10,000 euros in cash believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity, as well as scales and packaging material.

The substances also included 15 grams of “Piatella,” a rare and valuable quality of white hashish with a high THC content, and numerous blocks that, due to their appearance and composition, can be traced back to artisanal production using inflorescences grown in Sardinia.

According to the officers' reconstruction, the man's home had become a veritable hub for drug trafficking destined for Cagliari's so-called "bad nightlife," particularly in the red zone of the historic center, already the subject of a prefectural ordinance.

The man was arrested and, by order of the judicial authorities, taken to prison in Uta, pending the validation hearing.
