It was another particularly intense day for wildfires in Sardinia. Today, 28 fires were reported across the region, three of which required support from the regional firefighting fleet.

In Bortigali, in the Crastu Littu area , a rural forest fire affected approximately two hectares of wooded pasture. The extinguishing operations, which concluded around 3:00 PM, were coordinated by the Macomer Forestry Corps, with the assistance of a helicopter that took off from the Fenosu base. On the ground, Forestas agency teams from the Bolotana and Macomer construction sites intervened.

Another fire broke out in the countryside of Villanovaforru, in the Bruncu Conca Lada area. The flames, which affected several hectares of pasture and uncultivated land, were put out thanks to the coordination of the Sanluri Forestry Corps, with the support of their colleagues in Cagliari and a helicopter deployed from the Villasalto base. The Sardara and Villanovaforru barracks were also on site, along with other forces from the regional firefighting system. The operation concluded around 4:00 PM.

The third fire hit the wooded area of Aidomaggiore, in the Su Lisandru area , where the flames devastated approximately two hectares of forest. The extinguishing operations were coordinated by the Ghilarza Forestry Corps, in collaboration with the Oristano Forestry Corps and the helicopter from the Fenosu base. Forestas teams from the Sedilo and Abbasanta construction sites were also in action, as were civil protection volunteers from Oristano. The operations concluded around 5:00 PM.
