Tragedy occurred overnight on provincial road 292, which connects Nurachi to Riola Sardo. Silvia Obinu, 36, died after being struck by a car driven by a lawyer while cycling. According to initial reports, the victim was cycling along the straight stretch from Nurachi to Riola, her hometown.

The accident occurred around midnight near the roundabout. The driver immediately stopped and was the first to attempt to help while waiting for emergency services. Emergency medical services from Oristano arrived on the scene, but there was nothing they could do for the woman: she was already dead.

Law enforcement officers conducted investigations to reconstruct the accident dynamics and determine any responsibilities.
