A couple arrested in Alghero for thefts on the beach and in parking lots.

Carabinieri officers from the Alghero Company continue to conduct checks to prevent thefts in the beach areas . In recent days, officers have reported a man and a woman to the Sassari Public Prosecutor's Office, who are at large and are believed to be in possession of altered keys, lock picks, and a knife.

The two were stopped near some parking lots near beach resorts after the Carabinieri became suspicious of some unusual maneuvers they were making with their car. The subsequent search led to the discovery of a medium-sized knife and several burglary tools, including a tampered key potentially capable of opening the doors of parked cars. All the material was seized.

During the same territorial control operation, the military found several backpacks, clothing, sports equipment, and various documents in the outskirts of the city, which were found to have been stolen from foreign tourists . After a series of checks, the rightful owners were located. The stolen goods will be returned.
