A serious accident occurred this morning on State Road 126 in the Guspini area, on the road leading to San Nicolò d'Arcidano. For reasons still under investigation, two cars collided, one driven by a San Nicolò d'Arcidano resident and the other by a tourist.
A fifty-one-year-old man needed emergency medical assistance from Cagliari Airport. Once on site, the ambulance picked up the injured man, who was transported to Brotzu Hospital in serious condition.
A passenger in one of the cars also suffered minor injuries. She is pregnant, and was taken to the hospital in San Gavino by a second ambulance for checks. The 118 emergency team, along with the Carabinieri and firefighters, also responded to the scene.
