For about an hour, Viale Monastir, at the Cagliari exit near the Esso gas station , has been closed to traffic due to a head-on collision. After the initial collision, one of the vehicles involved ended its journey, colliding with four other cars.
Fortunately, the injured are not in serious condition: 118 transported one person to the emergency room with a yellow code.
Municipal police officers, along with firefighters, responded to the scene, conducting surveys and carrying out the necessary procedures to safely reopen the road. It appears a car had leaked a significant amount of diesel fuel. The road was closed to traffic during the investigation.
The driver and passenger of the car that caused the accident are believed to have fled the scene immediately after the accident. Officers are currently working to locate them, but the car has already been towed away.
