A panic broke out around noon today on Via Dalmazia, in Carbonia. For reasons yet to be determined, a Renault Twingo crashed into the entrance to a pharmacy . The small car got stuck in the entrance to the Dalmazia Pharmacy.

The driver was an elderly man who managed to get out and was assisted by pharmacy staff. He was then assisted by Auser emergency medical services only after the car was towed away with considerable difficulty by firefighters. His wife was at his side, and she was treated by emergency medical personnel.

Both were taken to the Sirai hospital in Carbonia . Local police officers from Carbonia were on site.
