Tragic accident on the provincial road 15 Castelsardo-Tergu, where a 70-year-old man, Maurizio Morfino, originally from Lombardy, but a long-time resident of Lu Bagnu, a hamlet of Castelsardo, lost his life .

The accident occurred shortly after 5 p.m., when the man riding his enduro motorbike collided head-on with a black Fiat Punto . The 70-year-old dentist was the worst hit, dying instantly .

The assistance provided by the 118 health workers was of no avail. The air ambulance and the Carabinieri of the Valledoria company were also on site to carry out surveys and investigate the incident.
