The solidarity project “A Camper for Prevention” was presented at Palazzo Doglio , the new fundraiser to support the “Abbracciamo un Sogno” Association, promoted by the Sardegna in Rosa Committee, with the support of Forte Village, Palazzo Doglio, Summer Mode and many other precious partners.
Participating were Domenico Bagalà, Director of Special Projects of the Forte Village group, Maria Dolores Palmas, founder and president of the "Gruppo Abbracciamo un Sogno", Eliana Costante, co-founder of Summer Mode, and Rita Loffredo, founder of the "Comitato Solidale Sardegna in Rosa" made up of a group of women who have been actively committed to promoting prevention and women's health in Sardinia since 2019 - and numerous partners and sponsors including CFadda, Rinascente, Obicà Mozzarella Bar, Radio Sintony, Pubblicitas and CVS.
Through the interventions, this new, extraordinary solidarity project was described which presents itself with a great objective: after having raised in just 18 months the funds necessary to purchase the new mammography machine operational at the Radiology department of the Businco Hospital since last October, the new fundraising is intended for the purchase of a "Camper for Prevention", a real mobile clinic, equipped with the latest generation equipment for carrying out mammography and ultrasound . The camper, moving to different locations on the island as needed, will make screening tests more accessible to all women, even those who live in areas far from hospitals.
Specifically, the camper will be equipped with a 3D Digital Mammography System with Planmed ClarityTM Tomosynthesis, an innovative technology which, thanks to the help of doctors and healthcare workers, will allow the acquisition of clear images capable of highlighting even the most delicate structures and microcalcifications. The ultrasound machine, however, will be a Samsung HM 70 EVO, a high-performance system capable of offering an exceptionally fast workflow and high-resolution imaging.
Among other features, the Camper will also be equipped with a reporting room, an access ramp for disabled people, internet connection, sanitization system and defibrillator.
In addition to voluntary donations, which can be made through the account IT57G0306909606100000187345 (in the name of Costruiamo Sogni Coop Sociale), there are numerous initiatives that will be carried out in the coming months to reach the funds necessary for the purchase of the camper, the estimate of which is around around 350,000 euros.
The first event will be "The Pink Walk", a 5km walk open to all, which will take place on Sunday 22 October at 10am at the Forte Village . Participation includes a contribution of 25 euros per person which will be entirely donated to fundraising and includes the "Legami" bracelet by Summer Mode. For information and reservations, you can write to ufficiosolidalesardegnainrosa@gmail.com or call 070 9218384.
October 25th will be the turn of "La Giorno in Rosa" with two important events at Palazzo Doglio. From 5.30pm to 7pm, in fact, the Doglio Theater will host the free access talk "Prevention has no age" by Doctor Elisabetta Orani - Director of Medical Radiology at the G. Brotzu Hospital - and Doctor Gabriele Andria - Director of Gynecologist Doctor ASL Cagliari SS Hospital. Trinity. This will be followed from 7pm to 10pm by a solidarity aperitif at the Corte Doglio with a contribution of 25 Euros per person which includes the aperitif and the exclusive “Legami” bracelet, created by Summer Mode.
On this occasion, the "Solidarity Lottery" will also be launched, scheduled until 30 April 2024. The lottery will offer 125 prizes, including a two-night stay at Forte Village and numerous gift vouchers for wellness treatments, dinners, clothing and accessories. The sale of approximately 20,000 tickets, at a cost of 2.50 euros each, will contribute to the collection of over 50,000 euros. The draw will be held on Wednesday 15 May at 4.00 pm at Palazzo Doglio.
On Sunday 5 November, the men's and women's padel tournament will start at the SportLife Padel Club in the Su Planu area of Cagliari. The cost of 30 euros per person includes, in addition to registration, focaccia and drink for each participant.
We will continue with a day entirely dedicated to prevention at Palazzo Doglio, on a date that will soon be announced, where it will be possible to carry out free breast examinations.
Numerous partners, including Forte Village, Palazzo Doglio, Summer Mode, CFadda, Rinascente, Obicà Mozzarella Bar, Radio Sintony, Pubblicitas and CVS, have already embraced the fundraiser with great enthusiasm, sponsored by the Rotary District 2020 and the Rotaract Club Cagliari, and will actively contribute to achieving the objective with numerous other initiatives.
Rinascente will donate a percentage of its sales on 12 December to the initiative and on the same date the solidarity aperitif "Happy 10th Birthday Summer Mode!" is scheduled to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the solidarity jewelery brand's activity at Obicà Mozzarella Bar in the Food Hall on the 6th floor of Rinascente. Starting from October 18th, Obicà will also offer a solidarity dish on its menu: for each Quinoa Salad ordered by customers, the brand will donate 1 euro to the project. CFadda, just like in the "A Mammograph for Businco" collection, will give customers the opportunity to donate 1 euro at the checkout in all its stores, from 16 to 30 November and again in 2024.
