The President of the Regional Council Piero Comandini and the Vice President Giuseppe Frau, as delegates of the Assembly, this morning presented to the Supreme Court the requests for the repeal of Law No. 86 of 2024 on Differentiated Autonomy, also known as the Calderoli Law. In addition to Sardinia, the Regional Councils of Campania, Emilia Romagna, Puglia and Tuscany also lined up against it .

"Sardinia is at the forefront, with four other regional councils, to repeal an unfair law that creates inequality among citizens: any path that leads to the final result of creating a tombstone on this law is fine ", Comandini's declarations. "All Italians must have the same rights without distinction of birth or residence. This is a battle of civilization , democracy and unity for all".

"The inequalities that the Calderoli law creates between rich and poor regions, between North and South, between citizens of Series A and Series B must disappear," Frau added. "The delivery, by five regions, of the approvals in the Regional Councils to be able to proceed with the referendum marks a path that will be followed by the referendum to repeal the Calderoli law, in order to keep Italy united with equal services and rights for all citizens ."

"We are sure that the Court of Cassation will accept our requests, we will quickly go to the referendum vote to remove this unfair law against the South", said the president of the regional council of Campania, Gennaro Oliviero.
