The Regional Beekeeping Commission chaired by the Councilor for Agriculture Gabriella Murgia took office today.

"An important body that will be able to make a useful contribution to the planning of interventions in favor of a growing sector, essential for the protection of biodiversity - explained the representative of the Giunta Solinas -. The presence of bees contributes to sustainable management of the territory , being a fully environmentally friendly activity based essentially on the exploitation of renewable resources ".

"Moreover - he added - the beekeeping sector continues to be characterized by the diversity of production conditions and yields and by the heterogeneity of economic operators, both in terms of production and marketing, so much so as to require initiatives to improve this situation. is ensuring maximum support for the entire sector: the ranking relating to the regional beekeeping program for 2021 and 2022 has just been approved, the available resources of which will be used to finance all admissible applications ".

The commission, appointed by decree of last November 22, includes Franco Anedda (Coldiretti), Mauro Pusceddu (Confagricoltura), Danilo Argiolas (Cia), Alice Beccu (Agci, Confcooperative and Legacoop), Davide Brisi (Api.Pro.Sardegna) , Francesco Caboni (Op Apicoltori Sardinian Terrantiga), Luigi Manias (Apiaresos) Alberto Masci (Regional Department of Environmental Defense), Antonio Pasquale Marrosu (Laore), Giovanni Marongiu (Agris), Ignazio Floris (Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Sassari), Antonio Pintore (Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Sardinia).

The commission can be subsequently integrated and will remain in office for three years.
