The Sardinian dairy tradition will be the protagonist in Agnone, Molise , from 29 to 31 August 2025, on the occasion of the third edition of Casearia - National Fair of Italian Cheeses.

Two of the island's leading companies were present: Bentu Estu, a social cooperative from Sinnai, and Erkiles, an agricultural company from Olzai.

Both will represent the age-old Sardinian pastoral art at the most important event in Central and Southern Italy dedicated to the world of cheese.

The Sinnai social cooperative represents the union between tradition and social innovation, carrying out projects that combine production quality with social inclusion .

The Olzai farm, in the heart of Barbagia, preserves the secrets of Nuoro's pastoralism, which has given rise to legendary cheeses such as Fiore Sardo and Pecorino Romano. Erkiles is also the first Sardinian company to receive the "Vegetarian Quality" certification for its "Bisine" line. These pecorino cheeses, produced exclusively with vegetable rennet derived from Cynara cardunculus (wild thistle), represent a bridge between tradition and dietary inclusivity, suitable not only for vegetarians but also for Jewish and Muslim cultures.

Agnone, awarded the prestigious title of "City of Cheese 2025" by ONAF (National Organization of Cheese Tasters), is preparing to welcome over 70 exhibitors and more than 250 cheese producers from across Italy . This will be an exceptional stage for the two Sardinian companies, who will be able to showcase the richness and variety of the island's cheese production to a national audience.
