The seventh edition of "Sant'Arte" is underway , the visual and performing arts festival born from an idea by the artist Pinuccio Sciola and scheduled in San Sperate from Thursday 30 May to Sunday 2 June.

Created and coordinated by the Pinuccio Sciola Foundation, the initiative takes place under the artistic direction of Maria Sciola and the organizational direction of Elisabetta Villani .

The common thread of this edition is "The table of the future", in line with the mission of passing on the artist's message: starting from the iconic image of the " work table " in Sciola's atelier, the festival is structured as a journey into its universe, physical and mental space , through the presentation of the Archive. A stratification of projects, ideas, thoughts, also full of conviviality - which has taken place around that table for about 50 years - which speaks of Sciola, his philosophy and his accessible art. An innovative and digital archive, which proceeds thanks to a European project that bears witness to a work that has never stopped in recent years, and which represents the solid basis for undertaking reflections on future actions.

«The table is a symbol of sharing and dialogue - says Tomaso Sciola , vice president of the Foundation - and unites people, both at home and at work, to eat, discuss, tell stories and make decisions. Many projects were born around the famous table in Pinuccio Sciola's studio , thanks to the friends who have always frequented it. Today we look to the future, adopting the most advanced technologies with the Digital Archive (financed with PNRR funds) to make Sciola's work and the Foundation's research work accessible, without however neglecting moments of conviviality. The Festival therefore becomes an opportunity to bring people together and show what we have achieved, always with an eye towards the future."

A varied proposal of events, including cinema, talks, concerts and book presentations, will explore in particular the theme of relationships and connections , also through workshops on experiential practices linked to "feeling".

At the same time, on the cultural side, the volume by Silvano Tagliagambe and Andrea Granitzio will be presented - published by the Sciola Foundation - dedicated to the great and unforgettable work done by the artist for the staging of Turandot.

There will also be space for a tribute to Michela Murgia and Pinuccio Sciola with a work that will be unveiled in via San Sebastiano in San Sperate, while the event will close with the music of Enzo Favata and Pasquale Mirra .

«And here comes the digital archive of our father – comments Maria Sciola , general director of the Foundation and artistic director of the Festival – We will celebrate this important step with his great friends: from Gloria Campaner to Enzo Favata, from Pasqualino Mirra to Franco Origoni (Origoni Steiner Foundation) without forgetting those who are no longer here. The legacy that remains is also that of a sculptural production that is accessible in itself, by everyone and for everyone. One of the most exciting moments will be, in collaboration with ENS Cagliari, the presentation of the documentary in sign language and the illustrated book for children “What do you feel?”».

«The Sound Garden represents the vital fulcrum of the Foundation's initiatives – declares Chiara Sciola , President of the Foundation -. This year we celebrate the multifaceted legacy of Pinuccio Sciola through a wide range of results, productions and collaborations in different fields of culture: from publishing to cinema, from concerts to video games, through workshops and conferences. Each event is an opportunity to involve the public, consolidate the network of contacts and spread art and beauty, faithful to the innovative spirit of Pinuccio Sciola."
