Chapter three: what a struggle after the Travolta affair. For Amadeus the evening is an uphill battle, too much anger from the controversies that have accompanied him all day, but he is helped by a hilarious Teresa Mannino, who has the burden of making people laugh again. Eros Ramazzotti celebrates his "Promised Land" and makes an appeal for peace. Crowe, to avoid any misunderstanding, sings, remembers his Italian origins and exits the stage. The reflection on deaths at work by Stefano Massini and Paolo Jannacci is touching. With Morandi it's immediately karaoke, and the Arena di Verona Foundation Choir excites with Va' pensiero.

MANNINO - Teresa Mannino does not disappoint and confirms herself as an extraordinary one women show. The Palermo actress and comedian demolishes the liturgy of the stairs, with a large dress with sleeves covered in feathers. «The stairs in Sanremo are different because they are not needed, there are eight other entrances. Amadeus only puts them on to make people anxious. I don't go down because I got new progressive glasses and I don't understand what the right angle is." Then she enters Broadway diva style, lies down in Il Volo's arms and makes fun of the bandwagon: «Sanremo is a great carnival. The only negative thing is that I can't see Sanremo tonight." The monologue isn't the brightest, but it gets a laugh.

Sing Let the light shine with Marcia Hines, then some brief exchanges with Amadeus . “Nice jacket,” he says in Italian to Ama. «For us you are a legend», he replies, and this time he opts for an interview with the super guest. With the inevitable "At my signal unleash hell." Teresa Mannino enters the scene, the hope is that she is about to stir things up but instead nothing . Jokes about Italian origins ("Like Travolta": Russell, tu quoque?), the story of his great-great-grandfather Luigi Ghezzi and a very boring list of tour dates . Quick and painless.

Then he makes Ariston dance with “Apri tutti le porte”, which took him to the podium in 2022.

Who indulges in memories: «If I could photograph three moments of my life: the first is when I arrived from Rome to Milan, there was fog, you couldn't see the city but it was beautiful. Then the signing with Sony and the meeting with Tina Turner. I thank the Festival for all this." Then he launches his message: «There are almost 500 million children living in conflict zones, millions more who will never see the promised land: enough blood, enough wars. Peace!".

MASSINI AND JANNACCI - After hosting Allevi's extraordinary testimony on pain and illness, a hymn to the beauty of life and solidarity, the festival opens a moment of reflection on deaths at work. Stefano Massini and Paolo Jannacci sing L'uomo nel flash, the story of a worker who dies in a factory explosion and leaves behind a few-month-old baby. "Work is a right that does not include death, protecting workers is a duty", says Amadeus. And Massini: «There is a love that is never talked about, but fundamental, the one that we should have for our rights, those that we deserve, whoever you are. Long live dignity."

THE COMPETITION - The other fifteen artists who did not perform last night parade on stage, presented by their "retired" colleagues : Loredana Bertè wins more applause than Tre, who is the one who performs. Alfa presents Maninni, both in total black. BNKR44 have fun, French Saints play it with style, Rose Villain brilliant, Amoroso does his homework, Mr Rain tries but doesn't pierce the screen, Rich and Poor effervescent in fuchsia. Someone brings a pencil onto the stage, to raise awareness of the participation of young people in particular in the European elections in June. We dance again outside the Ariston, with Paola and Chiara driving the Suzuki Stage in Piazza Colombo crazy and Bresh on the Costa Smeralda stage.

THE RANKING – Here is the ranking of the 15, drawn up by televoting and radio: Angelina Mango, Ghali, Alessandra Amoroso, Il Tre, Mr.Rain.
