Sanremo 2025, and the co-hosts' issue is over. Sardinia shines with Mahmood and Geppi Cucciari who, as announced live by artistic director Carlo Conti on Tg1, will join him on the fourth evening of the Festival, the one traditionally dedicated to covers. And there will also be Katia Follesa, a Sardinian father, chef, transplanted to the North.

Winner of the event in 2019 with “Soldi” and in 2022 with “Brividi” alongside Blanco, for Alessandro Mahmoud, 32, originally from Orosei, a golden period just like his tracksuit : “Tuta Gold”, the single with which he competed last year at the Ariston, was crowned the best-selling song of 2024 in Italy.

Geppi Cucciari, 51, from Macomerese, presenter on Rai 3 of the delightful “Splendida cornice”, is also enjoying success on the big screen : she is also in the cast of Ferzan Ozpetek's latest effort, “Diamanti”, a film that has already exceeded 13 million euros in takings. A return for Geppi, who had already been to the Festival in 2012, when she launched an appeal for the aid worker Rossella Urru - kidnapped in Algeria and then freed a few months later - and in 2017, when she called for the truth about the Regeni case.

The other names: the first night "I'll be alone", reveals Conti, but implies that it's not yet certain. "Unless I manage to convince two long-time friends", he adds, even if until now he had excluded the presence on stage of Giorgio Panariello and Leonardo Pieraccioni.

Taking the stage in the second will be Bianca Balti, the world-famous top model who has decided to share her experience with the disease with her fans via social media, Cristiano Malgioglio and Nino Frassica. In the third Follesa, but also Miriam Leone and Elettra Lamborghini. Grand finale with Alessia Marcuzzi, queen of Dopofestival last year with Fiorello, Alessandro Cattelan, host at Sanremo Giovani, and "many other surprises".
