Sandro Tonali has settled , after the rumors now comes the official agreement reached between the Newcastle midfielder's lawyers and the FIGC.

This was announced by the president of the FIGC Gabriele Gravina, now the response from the General Prosecutor's Office for Sport is missing, then the procedure will pass to UEFA for the international extension of the provision.

The sanction for the former AC Milan player is 18 months: 10 months of disqualification, another 8 of alternative prescriptions (compliance with the therapeutic plan to treat gambling addiction and at least 16 face-to-face testimony meetings).

Gravina, speaking about the agreement, added: «The rules provide for a certain number of years of sanctions, plea bargaining is foreseen, extenuating circumstances are foreseen, the boys collaborated beyond belief , so we continue to respect the rules that we we are pre-established."

Longer disqualification than that of the Juventus player Fagioli, because Tonali would have admitted to having also bet on Milan matches while playing for the Rossoneri club . The midfielder will miss the entire football season, including the 2024 European Championships if Italy qualifies.

Newcastle, for their part, is ready to freeze his salary and, according to some press sources, also to file a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against Milan, who sold him to the English for 70 million euros in the summer. But the Rossoneri club reiterates that it was unaware of everything.
