An extraordinary character, a lover of the Sardinian language, a researcher, a traveler through the squares of Sardinia to collect poetry evenings and then also a publisher, since he collected everything in small volumes which he then sold equally in the squares, spreading a cloth on the ground and putting it on top his little books that helped save thousands of versade.

Tzi Antoni Cuccu from San Vito , born in 1921 and died in 2003, will be remembered on 16 and 17 September in San Vito on the initiative of the Municipality and the Pro Loco.

For him also a debate on 16 to 21 in Piazza Santa Barbara and a Versada of the Boxis campidanesas association with various dialectal poets.

A conference-debate on the future of the Sardinian language is scheduled for Saturday at Casa Cauli. In closing the presentation of the work of the association "Spaciada sa bregùngia" and the presentation of the book "Su Sardu Standard" edited by the "Acadèmia de su sardu". Two days to remember and make known that great man of culture known throughout Sardinia. His poetry collections are now jealously guarded by a lucky few.

"An extraordinary figure - says the mayor Marco Siddi - the Municipality and the Pro Loco want to remember him with these two days dedicated to a great lover and singer of our language".
