In San Teodoro two days dedicated to the best Sardinian craft beers with street food and lots of music.
It is the first edition of the Coclearia Beer Fest, which will be held in the coastal town on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th September in the central Piazza Gallura and in the streets of the centre. The event, organized by the S'Andala cultural association, with the patronage of the Municipality and the collaboration of the patronal festival committee of San Teodoro leve, 83 and 93, will transform the historic center into a real open-air pub, with numerous stands of the best island and national breweries where you can taste the excellence of the brewing world.
«A first edition that we care about very much, for which we worked hard in harmony with the municipal offices – explains the founder of the association, Roberto Putzu – and which borrows the format already successfully tested in our main event, the Sassari Beer Fest, who will be nine years old next year. Together with craft beers, which have always been the protagonists of our events – recalls Putzu – we will give space to street food with the opening of the stands starting in the afternoon».
Alongside the Sardinian productions, the festival will also host the historic Baladin brewery in Piozzo, province of Cuneo, one of the best known in the world. Study and research are the fundamental ingredients that led its founder, Teo Musso, to produce a genuine and authentic beer, which aims for complete production autonomy, from the availability of materials to the use of renewable energy in the production process.
The list of Sardinian companies present represents the excellence of the sector, such as the new entry of this Gallura edition of the festival, which boasts the presence of the Alvure brewery, born in Elmas in 2019, which offers a product with a strong aromatic flavour. Also present in the island selection will be Bam (Mogorese craft brewery), founded in 2016; the philosophy of its 3 producers is to enhance a timeless drink, based on the combination of artisanal quality and art with signature labels that express the brewery's brewing character.
The tap list continues with the Coros Brewery in Usini, which bears in its name the territorial, religious and emotional values of its master brewer Giovanni Carboni. Its beers are pasteurized, unfiltered and refermented in the bottle in order to enhance their flavors and aromas. From Uri the Dolmen Brewery exhibits, a name that evokes the thousand-year past of our land. The beers are produced following tradition but with the use of cutting-edge production systems. Thanks to the intuition of the entrepreneur Francesco Spanu, the Mediterranean Brewery was born in Carbonia in 2016. Thanks to each of the craft beers from this brewery, the tastings will be a real journey through the alchemy of nature. From Bitti comes the Santu Jorgi brewing project. The owner and master brewer, Andrea Chirra, has carried with him the desire to produce a craft beer since his university days and today can boast 5 labels produced with top fermentation, processed with hops produced in the property's land. The offer of the Seddaiu Brewery in Thiesi is also very rich, which with great attention to the Mejlogu territory, produces the Mej and the Logu, respectively blonde and red dedicated to the land of origin.
The 8 breweries present will also be accompanied by two brewery surprises that will amaze the guests of the stands. There will be no shortage of gluten-free beers and to accompany the mugs there will be a space dedicated to quality Km 0 street food. The culinary proposal for the first Teodorina edition will have a reference to the sea, with appetizing sandwiches with baby octopus, sandwiches with octopus and fried foods of fish, but also sheep's roasts, sandwiches with cordula, artisanal sausage and the inevitable suckling pig. Starting from 6pm on Friday 29th, San Teodoro is preparing to host a party that truly involves everyone, with an area dedicated to children's entertainment and a musical offering in the name of rock with RIFF RAFF, the official tribute band of AC/DC. Saturday 30th, again at 6pm, the final day of the event accompanied by the DJ set of Luca Martelli, historic drummer of Litfiba, who will make the Teodoro public go wild with the Ride Gorilla show.
