Yesterday in San Sperate a mural was inaugurated in memory of Michela Murgia and Pinuccio Sciola, as part of Sant'Arte, the visual and performing arts festival born from Sciola's idea.
The work, created on the facade of via San Sebastiano 21, reproduces a photograph from May 2013 by Maki Galimberti which recalls the meeting between the artist and the writer at the sound garden and their profound friendship. It was carried out with a special transposition technique.
Galimberti is a portrait photographer of famous people, a true artist of the lens. His photographs are published on hundreds of covers and advertising campaigns around the world.
Yesterday, present at the inauguration, he declared: «I was excited, because for the first time I saw a mural made with my photograph. This is a satisfaction greater than the cover of the coolest newspaper there could be in the world. The photo I took of Michela Murgia and Pinuccio Sciola was taken inside the Sound Garden, where she took me, who I had to photograph for a newspaper, and proposed that I come here to meet a fantastic person, a wonderful subject. He was right".
A work that therefore consigns to historical memory the friendship between the two artists.
