The bodies of two puppy dogs were torn to pieces and found in a field not far from the new train station.

But fortunately the mother of these dogs and three other puppies were saved from the horror, thanks to a great gesture of love and sensitivity put in place by several people.

Margherita Murtinu, who has often helped animals in difficulty in the past, had reported to the appropriate institutional bodies (local police and carabinieri), for her recovery a pregnant dog in an evident state of abandonment that was wandering around the streets of the town and, thanks to the precious information acquired from another friend, it was possible to identify the area (a cane field near the station) where the dog had been spotted. Margherita Murtinu mobilized all her friends and acquaintances in San Gavino, who began to search for the dog without stopping.
