SanG/Arena 2025 will conclude with a lively finale on Sunday, September 7th at 9:30 pm at the San Gavino Monreale municipal amphitheater in Via Dante with Greg & The Frigidaires, a modern Doo-Wop band featuring Claudio “Greg” Gregori (vocals and guitar), guitarist Alessandro “Meox” Meozzi, trumpeter Luca “Neverever” Majnardi, and saxophonist Olimpio “Holly” Riccardi, along with Giulio “Sgarbato” Scarpato on electric bass and Giovanni “Lil'bell” Campanella on drums, for a concert inspired by the influences and sounds of rhythm and blues.
A rich repertoire ranging from the Coasters, to Dion & the Belmonts, to the Diamonds and then The Cleftones, The Beach Boys, The Platters, The Cadillacs and other successful bands alongside original and ironic "themed" songs to rediscover the lively cultural and artistic climate overseas in the Fifties and Sixties.
Greg & The Frigidaires – the brainchild of Claudio “Greg” Gregori (the Greg of Lillo & Greg) and Luca Majnardi, who have shared the stage for fifteen years with concerts and tours throughout Italy – draw on a musical genre particularly suited to the band, complete with vocal ensemble and solid rhythmic foundation, where captivating harmonies intertwine with swinging and rocking metrics.
An unmissable event where the band performs covers of famous songs translated and often rewritten in Italian with an ironic and mischievous twist, in addition to their original compositions, in a wave of overwhelming... and fun music.
This show closes the first edition of SanG/Arena 2025, the summer festival organized by CeDAC / Multidisciplinary Circuit of Live Entertainment in Sardinia with the patronage and support of the MiC / Ministry of Culture and the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and with the contribution of the Fondazione di Sardegna
