San Gavino is increasingly becoming the town of art.

The last mural was created by the artist Paolo "Mamblo" Mazzucco on the corner of via San Pio X and via Cagliari.

This work is intended as a tribute to the artist Tonino Pilloni, who recently passed away after having dedicated 50 years of his life to painting.

So Paolo Mazzucco, together with the volunteers of the “Skizzo” cultural association, created a new mural: «In this way we wanted to pay homage to Tonino Pilloni who wanted us to create a work. She was an exceptional person who in recent years has always supported the artistic movement that developed and gave life to the season of murals and street art. In the work, I have taken up a painting he made in which industry threatened nature and mushrooms in particular, which have always been his passion».

The Skizzo association has recently opened a new office in via Santa Croce 11. For some years now, tourists have been arriving in San Gavino from all parts of Sardinia and beyond, as recalled by the president of the association Ivan Licari: «In the last years street art is becoming very important in San Gavino Monreale, on a par with other major cities in the world. Above all, the most disadvantaged walls and squares are filled with wonderful murals in a beautiful urban redevelopment project, which pushes tourists to enter even the suburbs in search of modern art».
