The second convocation of the extraordinary shareholders' meeting of Sampdoria will not see the participation «of the absolute majority shareholder who will not delegate the legal representative of the shareholder Spoort Spettacolo Holding srl».

The Sampdoria club itself announced it with an official note. The extraordinary assembly had been convened in the first instance on 5 January but even in that case it had gone deserted with the announced absence of the Ferrero family, owner of the club.

"It should be remembered that the Extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting had also already been set for Friday 20 January 2023 in third call and for Thursday 2 February 2023 in fourth call", explains the club in the press release.

The meeting had been set to approve the capital increase of the Genoese company which has been suffering economically for months and which is therefore on the market.
