From 14 to 17 March, Samassi hosts the 34th Artichoke Festival and the 23rd Agri-Food Fair.

Around 70 exhibitors will present quality Sardinian products, while the festival, founded in 1986, continues to valorise the Sardinian violet artichoke and other varieties such as Romanesco and Spinoso.

The event, which includes tastings, educational workshops and the Marcialonga, is organized by the Municipality and the Pro Loco with the support of regional bodies. The Samassi artichoke is recognized as PAT and part of the Sardinian agrobiodiversity.

The Marcialonga del Articiofo, in its 43rd edition, will be held on March 17, combining sport and tradition.
