Another coach is missing from the teams embroiled in the relegation fight in Serie A.

Udinese made the dismissal of Gabriele Cioffi official after the heavy defeat in last Saturday's direct clash against Verona and after the only point in the last 4 matchdays which dropped the team to third from last place: «Thanks to the coach for the demonstrated professionalism and the work carried out during these months - the few parting words -, best wishes to him for the continuation of his career. The club also thanks its collaborators Cristiano Bacci and Gilberto Ribeiro Andrade for their commitment."

In his place will be Fabio Cannavaro , who will be joined by his brother Paolo, Giampiero Pinzi and Francesco Troise. He is Udinese's third coach of the season, who had already sacked Sottil.

Among the eight teams involved in the fight to avoid relegation , only Cagliari and Frosinone have not changed coaches , continuing to rely on Ranieri and Di Francesco respectively even in the darkest moments.

The Friulians are now third to last tied with Frosinone, but on Thursday evening they will recover the last 20 minutes of the match against Roma suspended at 1-1 due to the illness that struck N'Dicka.
