Summer sales also start today in Sardinia : according to estimates , each family will spend around 157 euros, 3 euros more than last year.

According to Confcommercio Sud Sardegna, the turnover in the south of the island is around 26.5 million euros (last year it was almost 25). The families in Southern Sardinia who will make purchases during the sales will be around 168 thousand. On average, a family unit (made up of 2.1 people) will spend 157 euros (154 euros in 2024). Each Sardinian instead 75 euros (70 last year).

"The data are similar to last year, slightly up," explains the director of Confcommercio Sud Sardegna Giuseppe Scura, "thanks to the decrease in inflation, purchasing power has increased and therefore we expect that the summer sales season will be more successful than in recent years."

BEWARE OF SCAMS – Federazione Moda Italia and Confcommercio remind a series of fundamental indications, both for retailers and customers, to make purchases on sale following safety and transparency rules. First of all, the possibility of changing the item after purchase is generally left to the discretion of the retailer, unless the product is damaged or non-compliant. In this case, the retailer is obliged to repair or replace the item and, if this is impossible, to reduce or refund the price paid. However, the buyer is required to report the defect of the item within two months from the date of discovery of the defect.

Items that are offered on sale must also be seasonal or fashionable and be susceptible to significant depreciation if not sold within a certain period of time. And of course there is the obligation to indicate the normal sale price, the discount and the final price.
