The winter sales in Sardinia start on Wednesday 5 January with a per capita expenditure which, according to estimates by the Confcommercio Research Office, will be around 90 euros. A turnover of 55.9 million, in the south of the island 29.6 million.

About 155 thousand families in Southern Sardinia will be interested in shopping and 65.1% will buy with the sales by spending 87 euros per person (the number of members per family is 2.2). Discounts will range from 30 to 70 percent.

"The sales - explains the director of Confcommercio Sud Sardegna, Giuseppe Scura - still represent a breath of fresh air for the trade sector, especially considering that last year in this period very stringent rules had to be respected with the pandemic in progress and vaccination has just begun, today the health emergency is not yet a bad memory, but we live with less restrictive rules and a vaccination campaign well underway. The closures imposed by the Government - he adds - have brought many activities to their knees, but have also given a push for many to enter the digital world while maintaining the traditional store ".

As for the rules: the shopkeeper can decide whether to change the garment after purchase unless the product is damaged or non-compliant. Credit cards must be accepted and cashless payments must be favored. There is an obligation to indicate the normal selling price, the discount and the final price.
