There are many sites to visit: the Sanctuary of San Giorgio Vescovo , dating back to between the 11th and 12th centuries, is next to the church of San Pietro Apostolo , the town's ancient cathedral. You immediately notice the contrast between the simplicity of the façade and the richness of the sacred furnishings inside: in fact, here are kept the polychrome wooden altar and a precious 17th-century retable which depicts episodes from the saint's life. In the Suelli area there are about fifteen nuraghes , among which the Piscu nuraghe stands out for its beauty and grandeur: a monument-symbol of the Nuragic civilization in Trexenta, recently the subject of new excavations, study and the publication of a volume, which was presented also on the occasion of the archeology exhibition Tourisma in Florence.
