The inhabitants of Gesico woke up at dawn this morning , they didn't want to be caught unprepared for the seventh appointment of Saboris Antigus and they worked hard to welcome the guests in the best possible way. Shortly after, the first visitors began to arrive, so as not to miss out on setting up the stands dedicated to crafts and food and wine.

The day's program is very rich: nature, archeology, ancient recipes, stories of martyr saints who are linked to Spain, murals and the seven churches, and much more to transform Gesico Sunday into a great celebration of traditions and good flavours. This year's novelty was centered above all on the cult of the three child martyrs , who, given the studies of recent years, are rightly thought to have left the small town in upper Trexenta for Spain, accompanied by some families. In fact, the discovery of the remains of the three children caused such a stir as to interest the Court of Spain. But even in Sardinia the uproar aroused was no less, so much so that it is hypothesized that the three children depicted in the painting placed behind the sarcophagus of Francisco d'Esquivel in the Cathedral of Cagliari are precisely the three child martyrs Gesimundo, Flore and Victoria.

The ancient village, the center of attention for religious tourism, has also been known for many years as the town of snails. Su Sitzigorru gesichese , Italian food certified by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies which recognized them as a Traditional Food Product (Pat): snails are a true symbol of Gesico, which since 1997 has been part of the "Cities of Snails" together with a dozen of other Italian municipalities.

The festival continues for the whole day with the exhibition of the wool supply chain, exhibition of launeddas, bread and cheese making, murals with Gianluca Lai, music and itinerant songs, parade of Sardinian costumes, Sardinian dances, entertainment, magic and illusionism, traditional games and sports, guided visits to churches, snacks offered by the Pro loco, parade of the S'Accabadora Pianelzesa masked group and show with the mayor of Scraffingiu Alessandro Pili.
