From April 18 to 28, Sardinia lights up with “Aspettando Sa Die”, the initiative promoted by the Assemblea Natzionale Sarda (Ans) that anticipates and accompanies the celebrations of April 28, the symbolic day of the Sarda Rivolutzione. It is a widespread and participatory program, where history, social criticism, art and conviviality intertwine to restore depth to a recurrence too often reduced to a date on the calendar.

An active network of associations, artists, publishers and scholars has joined forces to build a choral tale, in which past and future are mirrored in each other.

Presenting the 2025 edition during the press conference were Riccardo Pisu Maxia, president of ANS, together with the tourist guide Federica Marrocu (in connection), Andrea Laterza, artistic director, Paolo Dessì for public relations and representatives of the publishing house Condaghes. Also present were the cultural sponsors Vito Arra (“I Sapori d'Ogliastra”) and the chef Pierluigi Fais, committed to promoting the territory through taste.

The festival is divided into two major moments. From April 18 to 24, it gets into full swing with meetings, documentaries and urban tours. It starts with the short film Cast in Bronze (April 18), it goes through colonial toponymy with L'ingombro dei Savoia nei nomi delle via (April 19) and it rediscovers the illustrated history of Sardinia with Istòria de Sardigna (April 22). On April 23, space for archaeology with Domus de Janas: the road towards Unesco, curated by Professor Giuseppa Tanda.

From April 26th to 28th, the Dies Rivolutzionàrias arrive : street art, fairy tales in Sardinian, DJ sets, performances and a musical flashmob that culminate in the big party on April 28th in Piazza del Carmine, with the Sonade e cantade bois concert and the Artistas in s'arruga awards ceremony.

Then there is a symbolic gesture launched by Ans, that of displaying the Sardinian flag outside balconies and shop windows from April 26 to 28. A concrete gesture to affirm the pride of an identity that wants to be visible, recognizable and, above all, alive.

The highlight of the celebrations will be the awarding of the Sa Die 2025 Prize, given to three emblematic figures of Sardinian identity. To Caterina Murino, for having brought Sardinia to the world with her art and activism. To Nicola Riva, guardian of Gigi Riva's legacy, an example of passion and belonging. To Adriana Sabouret Valenti, researcher who brought to light the tomb of the revolutionary Michele Obino and valorized the history of the Sarda Rivolutzione.
